Cardiology is the study of the heart and its blood vessels in order to treat heart diseases. It is a branch of internal medicine.

EFFECTS
There are several effects of heart disease that should be immediately treated by a cardiologist.
Heart failure
The most common complication of heart disease is heart failure. When your heart is unable to pump enough blood in your body, it results in heart failure. It can occur from several diseases like heart defects, cardiovascular disease, valvular heart disease, heart infections, or cardiomyopathy.
Heart attack
When a blood clot occurs in a blood vessel blocking the heart, it causes a heart attack.
Stroke
Sometimes cardiac diseases can lead to strokes when too little blood reaches the brain. It is an emergency where people can die from a stroke.
Aneurysm
It is a bulge in the wall of the artery which in some cases can burst and lead to a life-threatening situation.
Peripheral artery disease
Another effect of heart disease is when your legs don’t receive blood which can lead to pain when walking.
Sudden cardiac arrest
When there is suddenly an unexpected loss of heart function, it can lead to cardiac arrest. This is often caused due to arrhythmia which can also lead to cardiac death if not treated properly.

PREVENTION FROM CARDIAC DISEASE
Although certain kinds of cardiac diseases can’t be prevented. But there are certain ways to take care of your health to prevent some of the complications. By controlling your blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes, you can prevent cardiac diseases to a certain level. In order to maintain the levels of blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol, you are required to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your weight should be in the normal range. It has been observed weight is one of the major reasons for heart problems.
Dos
Eat Better and healthy regularly consisting of all nutritions and a balanced diet during each meal.
Exercise daily in some form to make sure you stay fit. It can be yoga, swimming, cycling, or any kind of sport.
Manage stress, especially stress from work or financial situations as they can be the major cause of heart problems.
Sleep properly and for eight hours at least every day.
Don’ts
Smoking is the first thing that you need to quit in order to stay healthy.
Drinking occasionally can be allowed but if you drink regularly, then you need to quit.
Gaining weight can lead to a lot of heart problems, especially when fats start to accumulate around the heart.
Eating Junk food is one of the major reasons for gaining weight and should be avoided as much as possible.
